Full training is provided, and regular commitment is required to make the most of this rewarding role. Please note, most of our activities are based outdoors and we brave all weather!

Admin volunteer

We need organised individuals to help with various administrative activities. Use your skills to assist with vital behind-the-scenes work. From managing data to record-keeping, your support means our charity operates efficiently, helping us to focus on the children we support.

Animal carer

Do you have experience and the necessary skills for caring for animals? Help us by dedicating regular time to our farm’s residents, including ponies, goats, hens, pigs, and more.
Animal therapy is an important part of our work with young people, and you’d be supporting this. This role is ideal for those with experience in animal welfare. We mainly need weekend help, but occasional weekday work is needed.

Gardener

We are looking for green-fingered Leeds volunteers to help us keep Lineham Farm in bloom. Join our gardening team and help maintain our beautiful sensory garden, courtyard, and grounds.
There’s a range of volunteer work for gardeners available, from pruning and planting to heavier jobs. You’ll help keep our outdoor spaces welcoming and inspiring for children, families, and community groups.

General maintenance volunteer

We need handy people and DIYers keen to dedicate some time to general maintenance tasks here at Lineham Farm.
Although these tasks may not be the most exciting jobs, they are absolutely essential to keep Lineham safe for children and staff. If you have prior experience and enjoy fixing and improving things, this is a perfect way to contribute.

Corporate volunteer coordinator

    The majority of our volunteering roles are based at Lineham Farm, Eccup, LS16 8AZ. However, our Event and Fundraising Volunteers role comes with the chance to get out and about at community events across the city. Please note, Lineham Farm is not on a main public transport link, so access to a vehicle is advantageous.

    We provide all the necessary training for your chosen role. Our team will support you every step of the way, ensuring you feel confident and prepared.
  2. Can I volunteer with my friends or family?
    Yes, we encourage group volunteering for some roles like Event Support or Gardeners. Please get in touch to discuss group opportunities.
  3. Are there opportunities for corporate volunteering?
    Absolutely! We offer tailored CSR volunteering opportunities in Leeds for businesses looking to make a meaningful impact while engaging their teams in rewarding projects.
