Corporate volunteering days for our business supporters
When it comes to fundraising and corporate social responsibility, we believe consistent partnerships are valuable for all parties. We offer business supporter partnerships that include CSR days, hands-on volunteering opportunities, exciting fundraising initiatives, and seasonal campaigns that build team spirit and get people involved. Because volunteering days are so in demand, they are only available to companies who are looking to partner with the charity as a business supporter. We can’t offer them as one-offs due to the time they take to manage.

Is there a cost involved?
Yes, we do charge for CSR days. As a charity, we need to cover the overheads of the day to make sure the corporate social responsibility activities you take part in are valuable to the charity’s beneficiaries, first and foremost.
The donation associated with a corporate volunteering day at Lineham Farm covers the wages of the staff who manage and facilitate our volunteering programme. Donations also cover the purchase and maintenance of PPE and other practicalities.

How much does a corporate volunteering day cost?
The price of a corporate volunteering day varies depending on the size of your group and your level of support for the charity. Please get in touch with our team for more information.
Unfortunately, due to the popularity of our volunteering programme and the limited availability of our team, we are not able to offer opportunities to companies who are looking to source a one-off team day. CSR days are limited to organisations who are able to build a longer-term relationship with the charity.

CSR day FAQs
What is a CSR day or corporate volunteering day?
A CSR day (corporate social responsibility day) or corporate volunteering day is an initiative where employees of a business dedicate a working day to activities that benefit the community, environment, or a charitable cause.
CSR days are often part of a company’s wider CSR strategy, aimed at giving back to society while encouraging employee engagement and promoting the company’s values. They typically take place outside of the workplace, often in the outdoors, giving employees a chance to bond with colleagues and refresh their perspectives.
What is an example of a CSR activity?
Corporate social responsibility activities at Lineham Farm include:
- Gardening and ground maintenance: Help keep our grounds vibrant and well-maintained.
- Painting and fence building: Support essential maintenance and improvements.
- Seasonal activities: Take part in special projects like Christmas gift wrapping or Easter egg distribution.
What should I wear to my corporate volunteering day?
Lineham is a farm, so please come in sturdy clothes you are prepared to get a bit muddy. We recommend:
- Outdoor clothes suitable for the weather and temperature
- Outdoor footwear that can get wet, muddy or paint splattered (walking boots, wellies or old trainers, for example)
- Waterproofs if it’s due to rain (we do not carry spare wet weather clothing)
- Sun protection, when appropriate
What should I bring on my corporate volunteering day?
We’ll agree the details of your corporate volunteering day and what to bring with you in advance, but it’s sensible to plan for:
- Water
- A packed lunch
- Any necessary medication (e.g. EpiPens, inhalers, allergy tablets)
- No valuables, we cannot accept any loss of personal belongings
Can we talk about our CSR day in our marketing activity?
Absolutely! We love it when our business supporters share memories from their time at Lineham Farm in their marketing communications. Spreading the word of the charity online is a powerful way of supporting us. All we ask is you tag us in any social media activity, and you don’t take or share any images of children.
